When you walk onto the shop floor, you’re the person who turns engineering intent into perfectly machined parts. You review blueprints, stage tooling, dial in offsets, and run modern CNC lathes to hit tight tolerances with repeatable quality. You keep your station spotless, your measurements exact, and your teammates informed- because great parts come from great process.
What You'll Do- Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture parts to engineering specifications
- Interpret technical drawings and blueprints to plan tooling, work holding, and operations
- Monitor cycle performance for accuracy, consistency, and throughput
- Perform routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime
- Verify parts with precision instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation
- Collaborate cross-functionally to improve and optimize production processes
- Follow safety protocols, quality standards, and company procedures at all times
- An eye for detail and a commitment to doing it right, every time
- Hands-on experience running CNC lathes in a manufacturing environment
- A collaborative, team-first mindset
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training is a plus
- 5+ years setting up and operating CNC lathe machines; aerospace experience strongly preferred
- Background with Mazak and/or Nakamura equipment preferred
- Solid understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling, and materials
- Proficient in reading blueprints and technical documentation
- Strong problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail
- Comfort working independently as well as within a team
- Clear communicator with a positive, solutions-oriented attitude
