Performs and completes assembly duties and responsibilities to produce a finished whole good by assembling parts and subassemblies of optical equipment for the military, law enforcement, and hunting communities.
Essential Functions- Prepares work to be accomplished by following standard work instructions; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials
- Positions parts in specified relationship to each other using general knowledge of product
- Glues, screws, clips or otherwise fastens parts together using a variety of small hand tools
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Maintains all equipment and tools in good working condition by performing daily pre-shift inspections
- Strives to meet all established safety, quality, cost, and productivity standards
- Continually seeks to improve production methods, equipment performance and overall quality of product
- Ability to learn a variety of different assembly stations
- Other ad hoc duties as assigned

QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
- Ability to sustain a high level of physical activity related to repetitive motion, lifting and manual dexterity of equipment and products which weigh up to 10 lbs.
- Ability to follow and understand written and verbal instructions that call for multiple different actions based upon product descriptions, product quantities, product sizes and similar information
- Good oral communication skills
- Ability to sit for long periods of time
- Ability to perform repetitive work while maintaining production time and quality
Education
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience
1+ years manufacturing experience preferred.
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background check, employment verification and reference checks.
Preferred Qualifications- Electronics and/or soldering capabilities a plus
- With or without reasonable accommodation, requires the physical and mental capacity to perform effectively all essential functions
- Must be able to arrive at shift daily and on time
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally
- You must be a U.S. Person as defined by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR)
