Job Description:

The Operations Lead’s primary function is being an extension of the Supervisor by leading and/or directing the team in the Exhaust department. The Operations Lead in the Exhaust area will ensure that all employees adhere to procedures and work instructions to perform the exhaust process on components with an emphasis on achieving the highest quality and yield goals set by the Exhaust department

Essential Functions:
  • Ensure a quality product is produced that meets the customer specifications and maintain sufficient inventory to satisfy internal and external customers
  • Interpret data from Analytical/Diagnostics equipment to make sound decisions based on relevant facts
  • Define complex equipment issues and quality levels while informing Engineering of any process, component, etc. that deviate from normal processing
  • Ensure accurate record entry through use of onsite Quality Tracking System
  • Be an extension of the supervisor by leading and/or directing team
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a leadership capacity
  • Related manufacturing work experience; 1-3 years required
  • Experience in the Exhaust department as an Exhaust Processor or Technician preferred
  • Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft Office)
  • Be fully cross-trained (within prescribed time period)
  • Thorough understanding of all departmental operations (within prescribed time period)
  • Adherence to company policies; must be in good standing in terms of performance and attendance
  • Must be able to meet productivity goals
  • Require minimal supervision and work well independently
  • Ability to anticipate employee or departmental obstacles and develop a plan to overcome challenges
  • Support management decisions by engaging in appropriate interactions with others and fostering the same within team
  • Demonstrate good judgment during negative situations and potential conflict
  • Display and foster a positive team environment and success-driven attitude
  • Knowledge of all safety (mechanical, chemical, electrical) procedures applicable to job
  • Understand and apply EH&S standards
  • Must be able to work alone or with others and demonstrate good judgment regarding conflict resolution and employee issues
  • Ability to obtain and maintain security clearance within 6 months required
  • Must be able to wear clean room attire and work in a clean room setting, abiding by all clean room protocol
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent with 6years prior manufacturing experience, 2 year post-secondary/AA Degree and 2years prior manufacturing experience
