Pay$43–$48 per hour (DOE) plus mileage at $0.48 per mile.
SummaryThis position is available for licensed Registered Nurses (RN). Under a nurse’s supervision, the RN will perform designated technical, clerical, and clinical tasks associated with patient home care, including assessment, obtaining IV or port access, education, and infusion of injectable medications. The RN will also perform tasks related to pharmacy quality control, management of pharmacy and nursing records, inventory control, and preparation of orders for drugs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Administer specialty medications via IV, subcutaneous injections, or other methods as prescribed.
- Monitor patients during infusions for adverse reactions or complications.
- Assess patient medical history, allergies, current medications and vital signs before, during, and after infusions.
- Educate patients and caregivers about medication, side effects, and emergency management.
- Provide follow‑up calls or visits to monitor progress and adjust care plans.
- Maintain accurate records of infusions, patient responses, adverse events, and medication administration.
- Collaborate with nursing team, pharmacists, and other pharmacy staff to coordinate care.
- Ensure proper preparation and handling of medications, verifying correct drug, dose, and sterility.
- Perform inventory management of specialty medication supplies and coordinate with pharmacy team to maintain adequate stock.
- Support insurance verification or authorization processes related to specialty medications.
- Participate in CSI’s Immunoglobulin Mentorship Program, serving as a mentor to less experienced nurses.
- Assist with training activities, review of educational materials, infusion protocols, and patient care standards.
- Conduct direct observation of clinical practice and assess competency of mentees.
- Document mentorship activities, observations, and competency assessments as per CSI policies.
Must be willing to travel up to 2.5 hours out from Phoenix to see patients in their homes.
Requirements- Valid RN license.
- Licensed for IV access; ability to obtain port access.
- Willingness to travel up to 2.5 hours from Phoenix.
- Successful completion of a drug screen, including medical and recreational marijuana testing.
