Overview

- Engage in preoperative planning and postoperative assessments to ensure continuity of care.

- Adhere to organizational policies and healthcare regulations, ensuring confidentiality and compliance.
- Coordinate patient care with interdisciplinary teams, utilizing critical thinking and nursing expertise.
- Provide direct nursing care during vascular surgeries, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans based on patient assessments.
- Ensure sterile techniques and proper equipment handling during surgical procedures.
- Administer medications and manage IV lines, following established healthcare standards.
- Collaborate with surgeons and specialists to address intraoperative challenges effectively.
- Educate patients and families on postoperative care and recovery processes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance surgical care outcomes.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required; advanced certifications preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of operating room nursing experience; vascular or endovascular experience preferred.
- Current RN licensure and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
- Proficiency in aseptic techniques, patient positioning, and pharmacological administration.
- Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to interpret and apply healthcare policies, procedures, and standards.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adhering to organizational values.
- Willingness to relocate and availability for on-site work.
