Nurse Practitioner-Neurology: Critical Care

Neurology/Critical Care APP – University of Arizona, Phoenix

The Department of Neurology at Banner‑University Medicine Phoenix is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) – either an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (ACNP) – to join a dynamic Neurocritical Care team. The role focuses on patient‑centered care, education of clinical skills, and collaboration among healthcare professionals.

• Current, unrestricted license as a Nurse Practitioner in Arizona (or ability to obtain one).
• Certification from a recognized board (e.g., AANP, ANCC).
• DEA license, BLS, ACLS certification.
• Preferably at least two years of experience or a strong clinical background in Neurocritical Care.
• Night‑shift availability only.

• Provide comprehensive care to neurocritical patients in collaboration with physicians and the healthcare team.
• Manage a daily patient load of 12‑15, providing critical care and support to patients and families.
• Participate in educational activities, including training and supervision of nursing staff, residents, and medical students.
