School Nurse- LPN

We’re partnering with a school in Maricopa County, Arizona to hire a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to provide 1:1 care for a student with complex medical needs.

This is a highly impactful role supporting student safety, access, and participation throughout the school day.

Important note:

this assignment requires the nurse to ride the bus with the student.

• Setting:
  On-site school-based assignment (1:1 student support)
• Hours:
  
  40 hours/week
• School Year: 2026/2027

• Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and monitoring for a student with complex medical needs throughout the school day
• Administer medications per orders and follow care plans
• Manage and monitor medical equipment as needed
• Respond to urgent/emergent situations and coordinate with the school team per protocol
• Support safe participation in educational activities (including transitions and transportation as required)
• Maintain accurate, compliant documentation and communication with appropriate school staff

• Active LPN license (required)
• Experience supporting pediatric or school-aged populations strongly preferred
• Comfort providing 1:1 care and responding to medical needs in a school setting
• Able to support student transportation needs, including riding the bus with the student
• Strong communication, professionalism, and documentation skills
