Position: Registered Nurse HonorHealth Cancer Care Shea

Job Overview

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cancer Care, Day Shift (Mon–Fri 8:00–4:30). 4 days per week, 9.5 hours each day. $10,000.00 sign‑on bonus.

Location:

20745 N Scottsdale Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85255.

Responsibilities
  • Guide the RN practice in accordance with the ANA Standards and Code of Ethics.
  • Record patient medical history and symptoms; perform and analyze diagnostic tests.
  • Operate medical equipment, administer treatments and medications, and manage IV lines.
  • Establish and contribute to individualized patient care plans, including medication administration, therapeutic interventions, and monitoring.
  • Consult with physicians and other healthcare clinicians; teach patients and families about disease management, home care, diet, nutrition, exercise, and self‑medication.
  • Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides, delegating tasks appropriately.
  • Precept new hires and students; support staff and student competency development.
  • Continuously enhance knowledge in nursing management and patient care; pursue ongoing education.
  • Collect and systematically analyze health data, prioritize assessments, and develop evidence‑based care plans that are family‑centered and culturally relevant.
  • Implement interventions including emergency and resuscitative measures using standing orders and policies.
  • Evaluate patient progress toward outcomes, document observations, interventions, and therapeutic measures.
  • Assess nursing practice against professional standards and regulatory requirements; maintain current knowledge.
  • Integrate ethical principles into all aspects of practice; enhance understanding of cultural diversity.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, peers, and other healthcare providers to improve patient care and promote professional development.
  • Support evidence‑based practice by identifying improvements, facilitating change, and applying research findings.
  • Consider safety, effectiveness, and cost when planning and delivering patient care.
Qualifications
  • Education: Associates or Diploma in Nursing. BSN preferred. All diploma and ADN hires must complete a BSN within 60 months or have 5+ years of RN experience.
  • Experience: 10+ months in a med‑surg or acute specialty setting required. 1 year RN experience required for float positions.
  • Licensure &

    Certifications:

    Registered Nurse license in Arizona required. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. National certification for unit‑specific patient populations preferred.
