Position: Quality Tech- Back End Days

Overview

Refresco is a leading global independent beverage solutions provider serving retailers and brands worldwide.

Essential Job Functions
  • Adhere to health and safety policies, Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) in warehouse or production areas.
  • Maintain food quality and safety in accordance with corporate, customer, and governing standards (e.g., SQF).
  • Ensure all products meet customer specifications as outlined in the SAP system.
  • Perform analysis on raw materials, finished batches, treated water, and other programmed items.
  • Conduct chemical and physical analysis on raw and intermediate processing materials, including packaging, and determine acceptance status.
  • Evaluate finished products against current standards by performing audits to monitor product and packaging integrity.
  • Check process control parameters to assure proper equipment operation, performing seal checks, torque checks, and other customer or company requirements.
  • Stop questionable production affecting Food Safety and alert management immediately.
  • Maintain accurate, legible records of all tests and retests; complete reports (work orders, action reports, etc.) timely.
  • Perform analytical tests required to qualify ingredient batches for production.
  • Conduct production line checks at specified intervals.
  • Ensure accurate test results by maintaining proper operation and calibration of laboratory equipment.
  • Keep laboratory clean at all times.
  • Report out‑of‑specification results to designated leadership.
  • Complete special projects and other reasonable duties assigned by leadership.
Required Skills
  • Working knowledge of Excel, Word, and SAP.
  • Experience using measurement tools and equipment (e.g., calipers, micrometers, CMM machines).
  • Organized, detail oriented, and adaptable to change.
  • High precision and accuracy in inspection and testing processes.
  • Familiarity with SQF, SAP, Six Sigma, GMP, and related standards and regulations.
  • Understanding of Food Safety Requirements.
  • Ability to read and understand metric system.
  • Food or beverage laboratory experience preferred.

Education and Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1–3 years of experience in quality within a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must be at least 21 years old when working in plants that co‑package alcoholic beverages.
Working Conditions
  • Work Schedule:

    Weekdays, weekends, afternoon, evening, and overnight may be required. Overtime scheduled as needed.
  • Work Environment:
    Fast‑paced production plant with moving parts. Noise levels require hearing protection; temperatures can be very hot or relatively cold. Laboratory is temperature controlled.
Travel Requirements
  • 0% travel anticipated.
Physical Requirements
  • Stand or sit for extended periods.
  • Stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl occasionally.
  • Lift up to 50 lbs. (minimum 5 lbs).
  • Carry weight and lift frequently.
  • Walking and driving as required.
  • Climb stairs/ladders and balance regularly.
  • Visual and sensory attention required; mental stress due to deadlines, production quotas, and accuracy demands.
