Summary

We are seeking a full‑time Database Research Manager eager to contribute to the success of a newly established institute focused on children’s positive relationships and well‑being. The Manager works under administrative direction, collaborates with research team members, and oversees data entry and maintenance of child development research–related databases, including longitudinal, intervention, implementation, multi‑level, and observational data sets.

Essential Duties
  • Design, develop, and modify data infrastructure to accelerate data analysis and reporting in line with scientific standards and best practices.
  • Develop, oversee, and maintain data handling and archiving protocols.
  • Operate and train others on research support equipment for data development and entry.
  • Oversee and ensure entry and uploading of quantitative child development data using database and statistical programs such as Access, Excel, Qualtrics, Red Cap, R, SPSS, and SAS.
  • Use syntax to create variables and manage complex data manipulations for observational, longitudinal, peer nomination, and survey data.
  • Respond to team members, produce quality work, and remain resourceful, flexible, and respectful.
  • Work effectively with a variety of stakeholders who may have divergent interests, priorities, and requirements.
Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree.
  • Preferred experience with data in psychology, education, child and family sciences, social work, or related areas.
  • Knowledge of principles and techniques relevant to child development research.
  • Passion for applying knowledge and experience to address important social issues related to children’s development.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.
Working Environment
  • Climate‑controlled office setting with extended periods of stationary work.
  • Operates a computer and office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Ability to clearly communicate and exchange accurate information to perform essential duties.
