Job description

As a reputable leader in the fire suppression and fire detection industry, United Fire Equipment Company is seeking a qualified Customer Service and Sales Associate to join our dedicated team. The Customer Service and Sales Associate will be the first point of contact between United Fire and our large Firefighter customer base. This position assists with the outfitting of firefighter uniforms for fire departments throughout Arizona.

Duties
  • Assist with front counter sales and walk in customers.
  • Ensure front counter opening and closing procedures are completed.
  • Assist firefighters with fittings of uniforms.
  • Process web store uniform orders and alterations, preparing detailed sales orders, order forms and invoices.
  • Estimate delivery of product for customers using knowledge of production and delivery schedules.
  • Receive customer payments by cash, check or credit card payments.
  • Educate and solicit customers on all products and services available by United Fire Equipment.
  • Maintain the showroom in a clean, neat and orderly fashion.

  • Strong customer service skills
  • Proficient in working with software systems and workstations.
  • Ability to work under time constraints.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Requirements
  • High school diploma
  • Pre-employment background and drug screen
  • 2+ years' experience in sales or customer service
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Able to regularly move and carry materials weighing up to 25 lbs.
  • Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch and sit. This position requires the ability to balance and climb a ladder up to 10 feet.
