Business Development Manager

Responsibilities

• You will be responsible for identifying, developing, and securing new business opportunities using technical expertise and the Linde technologies portfolio
• Grow industrial gases and equipment sales in the West Region through value‑based technical and consultative selling
• Acquire new and expand existing customers through prospecting, lead qualification, market strategy, business case development, proposal creation, and technology‑based pricing recommendations
• And you will provide technical sales support and oversee project implementation and start‑up to ensure successful customer onboarding
• Further, you will analyze markets and industry activity including niches, regional economic trends, competition, and product application opportunities
• Initiate and execute growth campaigns, market initiatives, and customer communication strategies
• Monitor competitive activity and develop response strategies based on market intelligence and Linde’s technology differentiators
• Develop customer and industry relationships including prospects, consultants, and vendors
• Collaborate with internal technical and commercial teams including Sales, Linde Technology (LT), National BD, Applications Equipment, and Customer Service
• You will leverage internal resources to support opportunity development and sales strategy execution
• Participate in regional and national sales strategy development with business development, key account teams, and sales leadership
• Also, you will support assigned industries including Heat Treatment, Additive Manufacturing, Automotive, Aerospace, Metals, Glass, Food, Electronics, and Semiconductor
• Operate from Arizona with preference for Phoenix or Tempe; compensation includes base, commission schedule, and company vehicle

• A BS degree required, with engineering or other technical disciplines strongly preferred
• More than ten (10+) years of experience, ideally in technical sales and within relevant industrial markets
• You have the ability to travel up to 50% to support customers, projects, and regional initiatives
• Proven record of customer acquisition and growth demonstrating resilience and consistent results
