Outside Sales Rep Trainee - Temporary Structures

Job Summary

Outside Sales Representative Trainee (Jumpstart Program) – intensive 9‑month training covering all aspects of Sunbelt Rentals' sales process and product offerings.

• Participate in classroom training, job shadowing, and hands‑on activities across all lines of business.
• Rotate and gain knowledge of product lines and services.

• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Open to relocation after completion of the program.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred;
  Associate’s degree plus 1 year of related experience acceptable.
• Previous experience in sales or customer service preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation and acceptable driving record.

The role includes a 90‑day training period during which the trainee will travel approximately 75% of the time nationwide (typically three weeks on the road followed by one week off). Trainees receive hands‑on training in installation of temporary fabric structures and must pass a drug screening.

• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Solid negotiation and influencing skills (a plus).
• High level of accountability and time management.
• Willingness to learn all aspects of the business.
• Exposure to the construction industry preferred but not required.
• Bilingual (Spanish or other) may be required based on location needs.

Requires bending, squatting, crouching, reaching, lifting 50 pounds or more, and working indoors or outdoors as required.

Base pay range: $21.63 - $29.06 per hour (starting rate varies by location, education, training, and experience).
