Summary
We are seeking a driven and ambitious Business Development Representative (BDR) to help expand our environmental lab services by identifying new business opportunities, generating high-quality leads, and driving customer growth. The ideal candidate will leverage their strong background in sales, customer service, and networking to build and maintain strategic relationships with clients and partners. This role is essential in delivering service beyond analysis—providing not just solutions, but exceptional support and value that exceed client expectations.
WhatYou Will Be Doing
- Proactively seek new business opportunities to expand AGAT Laboratories’ market presence.
- Build and maintain a robust pipeline of sales prospects to improve market position.
- Foster strong, long-term relationships with existing customers to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
- Act as a trusted advisor, addressing client needs and exceeding expectations.
- Design and execute account-specific sales and marketing strategies to support revenue growth.
- Develop and implement annual territory and business plans to achieve budgeted sales objectives.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment with customer objectives.
- Represent AGAT Laboratories at industry workshops, trade shows, and professional associations.
- Stay informed on market trends, technological advancements, and competitive activities.
- Monitor and analyze competitor activities to identify market opportunities.
- Perform administrative tasks, such as reporting, documentation, and account updates, as required.
- A minimum of 2 years experience in sales, preferably in the environmental laboratory testing industry.
- Familiarity with environmental regulations and testing processes.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant science or business.
- Proven customer service experience with a team-focused mindset.
- Proficiency in Outlook, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and Hub Spot.
- Valid license and clean driving record.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, comfortable with in-person presentations and site visits.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities, with attention to detail.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
