Job Summary
DH Pace Company, Inc., is currently looking for an Estimator to join our team in Tempe, AZ. With minimal supervision, the Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate, timely, and competitive bids for Commercial Entry Door Systems, supporting our sales staff and resulting in profitable sales and positive customer relationships. Knowledge and experience in the industry is a prerequisite to perform this role.
Job Responsibilities- Rapidly develop or possess advanced level skills at using DH Pace estimating processes and procedures and utilizing DH Pace estimating software as well as other business software programs (Excel, Bluebeam, Internal Software, etc).
- Rapidly develop or possess advanced level knowledge of door and door-related products, understanding functionality, special features, usage options as well as pricing variance based on specific job needs.
- Educate sales team on product options and assist customers in product selection to ensure sale and best project outcome.
- Perform effective Quote Request Review, Scope Creation, Material List, and Product Selections to generate accurate Project Cost Estimates and Bids.
- Estimate advanced and complex projects of limited size, writing all proposals clearly and concisely for review and approval by Manager prior to customer's review.
- Understand vendor relationships and build strong relationships with contacts.
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as assigned.
- Minimum of two (2) years of commercial door work preferred.
- Must have strong attention to detail, and good organizational and mathematical skills.
- Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
- Must be computer literate. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office desirable.
