Retail Sales Ambassador - Tailored Clothing, Scottsdale Fashion Square

Job Overview

As an Ambassador, you will drive sales by connecting with customers and sharing vendor product knowledge to upsell and suggest additional items. You will cultivate a repeat clientele and serve as an expert for the vendor/brand/area you represent, communicating customer needs to leadership and executing strategic merchandising initiatives.

• Provide an exceptional customer experience by ensuring the customer is always the priority.
• Greet customers, make product recommendations, and upsell.
• Serve as a liaison between designated vendors, personal stylists, and store leadership.
• Ensure the sales floor is neat, clean, and properly signed for sales and markdowns.
• Create and implement best practices to drive sales, turnover, and gross margin above company average.
• Build brand‑specific clientele to support local marketing.
• Execute vendor and non‑vendor events to increase sales.
• Plan, organize, and lead customer‑facing vendor‑sponsored events in partnership with the vendor community, ensuring sales and participation goals are met.
• Use Macy’s point‑of‑sale systems and company devices to complete sales transactions.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

• Demonstrate the ability to build relationships and convert customers into clients.
• Display an energetic and positive attitude.
• Possess vision and creativity.
• Self‑starter, able to work independently and as part of a team; must have excellent time‑management skills.
• Communicate effectively and present information to customers, peers, and all levels of management.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• Comfortable with the use of computers, mobile devices, and frequent use of radio frequency equipment.
• Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, with reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Minimum one year of previous selling or retail experience required.

• Must lift, move, stand, and reach with arms and hands.
• Stand for at least two consecutive hours.
• Lift at least 30 lbs.
• Perform stooping, kneeling, crouching, and ladder climbing as needed.
• Reach, including above eye level; crouch, kneel, and stoop comfortably.
• Use computers and other technology (handheld equipment, cash register) to process transactions.
