Inside Sales Representative

Combines inside sales/customer service and technical/systems knowledge to sell products, services, and solutions to new and existing customers through a variety of inbound and outbound multimedia communications (e.g., telephone, email, fax, portals). Develops and manages trusted relationships for assigned customers/accounts, promotes company options, identifies sales opportunities, and consistently delivers revenue that supports financial sales metrics.

• Delivers solutions or finds new opportunities for a positive customer experience using independent judgment and sales methodology.
• Initiates and responds to sales inquiries from prospective and existing customers to promote product offerings.
• Responds promptly and accurately to customer information requests.
• Monitors and follows up on sales activities to exceed customer requirements from initial contact to order fulfillment.
• Maintains and expands sales with existing accounts through high‑level customer service and knowledge.
• Coordinates sales efforts and strategies with internal resources such as product, materials, field sales, and suppliers.
• Communicates current product information, provides accurate pricing, quotes, and input on final solutions.
• Coordinates customer requirements for inventory, delivery lead time, and unit prices.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

• Extensive knowledge of organization, practices, and procedures, enabling high contribution.
• Completes complex assignments requiring significant judgment, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.
• Works independently with minimal guidance, using judgment to determine the best approach.
• Collaborates with internal or external contacts on special assignments.
• Actions may significantly impact the department and others; errors can result in loss of business, materials, or time.

Requires a minimum of five years of related experience.

High School Diploma or equivalent.

• Expert knowledge of customer needs, products, and complex business services.
• Ability to identify qualified customers for inclusion in Avnet’s portfolio of complex accounts.
• May be required to travel to customer sites or attend training, including overnight travel.
• Advanced knowledge of systems such as SAP, ERP, order management.
• Proficient Excel skills for problem solving, formulas, analysis, formatting, and data manipulation.
• Proficient in QuoteFX, Supplier Win, PowerPoint, Web Ex.
