Job Summary:

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused Construction Technician to support construction crews with the installation, maintenance, and operation of underground natural gas facilities. This position involves outdoor work, equipment operation, and hands-on mechanical and labor tasks in a construction environment. This is a great opportunity for candidates with construction, utility, mechanical, or outdoor labor experience looking for a long-term career opportunity.

• Assist construction crews with installation and maintenance of underground gas lines
• Perform excavation and backfill of trenches
• Cut, thread, and assist with installation of underground piping
• Operate equipment such as crew trucks, backhoes, trenchers, loaders, and boom trucks
• Follow all safety procedures and use protective equipment at all times
• Complete required safety training and operator qualification training
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions

• Construction, mechanical, utility, or outdoor labor experience preferred
• Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Comfortable performing physical labor including lifting, digging, and working in trenches
• Ability to pass safety training, written tests, and hands-on training
• Valid driver's license preferred (for equipment operation)
• Strong attendance and reliability required
