Position: Underground Wet Utility Foreman

NORTH STAR PIPELINES, INC. is a local underground utility contractor specializing in wet piping installation. We've been locally owned and operated for over 35 years.

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Underground Wet Utility Foreman to lead field crews in the installation of wet utility systems, including water, sewer, and storm drain. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong knowledge of underground construction, safety practices, and project coordination.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and coordinate daily activities of crew
• Read and interpret plans, blueprints, and specifications
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and within project scope
• Enforce safety standards and company policies on-site
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Operate equipment as needed and assist crew when required
• Monitor materials, equipment, and labor usage
• Conduct site safety meetings and maintain daily reports

Qualifications:

• Experience in underground wet utilities (water, sewer, storm drain)
• Proven experience as a foreman or crew lead
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings
• Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations
• Valid driver's license

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with trenching, shoring, and pipe installation
• Equipment operation (backhoes, excavators, loaders, etc.)
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
