Description Lead HVAC Technician – Commercial & Residential Overview
Bleuwave HVAC is seeking a highly skilled, motivated, and energetic Lead HVAC Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will perform installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial and residential HVAC/R systems across a variety of projects and property types.
The ideal candidate is a strong technician with excellent diagnostic abilities, leadership qualities in the field, and a commitment to high‑quality workmanship and customer service. Responsibilities- Travel to commercial and residential job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC/R systems.
- Troubleshoot heating, cooling, ventilation, refrigeration, and mechanical system issues.
- Install, repair, and maintain commercial and residential HVAC equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
- Perform HVAC system modifications and retrofit installations.
- Conduct preventative maintenance on boilers, refrigeration systems, air conditioning units, and related equipment.
- Utilize diagnostic tools, electrical testing equipment, and welding tools when necessary.
- Complete service calls and work orders efficiently and professionally.
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company and industry standards.
- Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and documentation.
- Communicate professionally with customers, vendors, and team members.
- Assist with training and supporting junior technicians when needed.
- Minimum 5+ years of HVAC service and repair experience preferred.
- Strong background in commercial and residential HVAC systems.
- Experience with refrigeration systems, boilers, and mechanical equipment preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
- Experience with system installations, retrofits, and preventative maintenance.
- EPA Certification required.
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in the field.
- Experience in property management, commercial facilities, or service operations preferred.
