Position Summary

The Plumbing Foreman is responsible for supervising plumbing crews on commercial and residential projects. This role ensures work is completed safely, on time, and in compliance with codes, blueprints, and company standards. The Foreman will manage day‑to‑day operations in the field while providing leadership, training, and support to plumbers and apprentices.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead plumbing crews, assigning daily tasks and monitoring progress.
  • Interpret blueprints, specifications, and drawings to plan and execute plumbing system installations.
  • Oversee installation, repair, and maintenance of water supply, drainage, gas, and piping systems.
  • Ensure compliance with state and local plumbing codes, as well as company quality standards.
  • Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and other trades to maintain project schedules.
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate apprentices and journeyman plumbers.
  • Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment to reduce delays and waste.
  • Conduct safety meetings, enforce company safety policies, and ensure a safe jobsite.
  • Document crew hours, job progress, and project updates.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of plumbing experience, with at least 2 years in a foreman or leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of plumbing systems, code requirements, and installation practices.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams effectively.
  • Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
  • OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
  • Valid plumbing license (if required by jurisdiction) is a plus.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs., work at heights, and perform physical labor in various environments.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
