Temporary Substation Electrician position requiring specialized trade skills.

Under general supervision, performs work requiring special skills of the trade in construction and maintenance of transmission and distribution electrical facilities. May direct work of others and may travel to job sites. Committed to excellence in customer service and teamwork.
Responsibilities- Installs, operates and tests LTCs, transformers, and related equipment.
- Performs construction and maintenance work on substations, including erecting steel structures, bending conduit, installing control wiring, and other equipment.
- Installs and performs major repairs on power generators and control equipment.
- Maintains and repairs wiring and equipment in other facilities.
- Performs tests on rubber and hot‑stick equipment, changes taps, rewinds motors, overhauls switches.
- Assists colleagues during vacations or varying workloads.
- Prepares time and work reports.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Works safely, maintains relationships with staff, customers, and the public, follows instructions, completes paperwork accurately, and may be required to work reasonable overtime.
Completion of an appropriate Apprenticeship program or equivalent.
Testing and Certifications- Must pass SRP Clearance Procedures Test.
- Must possess a valid Arizona driver’s license.
- For specific training certifications contact the departmental manager.
