Maintenance Operations Specialist

Performs maintenance, troubleshooting and repairs to enable proper operation and preservation of buildings, utilities, equipment, grounds, and facilities. Works independently but capable of performing complex building maintenance services including assisting trades workers with electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and HVAC tasks.

Essential Functions

75% - Performs maintenance and repairs on facilities and associated systems. Checks and updates job status in the Computerized Maintenance Management System. Maintains a sufficient supply of small parts and other materials to successfully perform the majority of tasks typically assigned to the section. Secures their tools at the end of the shift each day.

15% - Reports items that have to be repaired or replaced that are beyond their abilities or resources to perform themselves.

10% - Provides assistance with contractor performed projects and assists trades personnel with their projects as directed. Performs other duties as assigned
