Hiring Compensation Range: $40.50 – $45.00 per hour, determined by the Local UA. This position includes a competitive benefits package.

CoreResponsibilities
Provide the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service‑related items. Serve as a trusted advisor to our customers with solutions and outcomes at the time of commissioning and aftermarket service. Perform maintenance, repair, and replacement services on commercial heating and cooling systems, and provide recommendations and upselling opportunities. Provide quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Qualifications- Member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL‑CIO.
- Dedicated member of a North America Branch team willing to learn and be responsible for system troubleshooting, repair, and aftermarket services for this fast‑growing business.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of commercial and/or industrial mechanical troubleshooting experience in the HVAC industry and industrial petrochemical or data center vertical environments.
- Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and/or ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
- Maintain ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
- Able to install complete systems (chillers, rooftop units, plumbing, and all supporting mechanical systems).
- Mechanical shaft alignment using dial indicators, laser, etc. of pumps, fans, and compressors.
- Able to use vibration equipment to troubleshoot drive lines.
- Travel may be required 50% to 75% to support branch customer activities, troubleshooting, installation, and repair.
- Required to pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

- Work with local market mechanics as well as servicemen and apprentices, providing on‑the‑job training when necessary.
- Attention to detail through interpersonal, digital, and written skills. Able to write and communicate to the customer the problem, cause, and corrective actions.
- Able to provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
- Self‑starter with a passion to learn and apply on the job.
- Prioritize safety in all forms.
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver’s license.
- Position is a Bargaining Unit Position.
Travel may be required 50% to 75% of the time to support branch customers, troubleshooting, installation, and repair. This is a Bargaining Unit Position but is subject to all pre‑hiring screening of JCI. With successful performance, JCI may recommend you to the Union Local apprenticeship program, and continued employment eptance by Union Local must occur within 365 days of employment or the position will be terminated.
