The Service Superintendent focuses on directing the OWFS Service team technicians, organizing schedules, and ensuring that the life safety systems our company works on are NFPA compliant when doing inspections and after completing repairs. This position will oversee the day-to-day service operations of OWFS.

Responsibilities:

Scheduling:
  • Work directly with Service Coordinators to confirm schedules and ensure correct technicians for jobs that suit their skill sets
  • Ensure all necessary information and materials are acquired before scheduling service calls and repairs
  • Set up service calls within the Uptick application
  • Put together an on-call schedule for the team
Conduct Quality Control:
  • Be onsite with the team to help ensure inspections are being completed to manufacturer guidelines, AHJ codes, as well as NFPA and OWFS standards
  • Review inspection reports for accuracy and correct information before they are submitted to customers and sent to the sales team for deficiency repairs
Customer Relations:
  • Proactively develop customer relationships
  • Resolve client escalations and grievances as needed
Administrative Operations:
  • Oversee service work documentation
  • Review any notes on work orders for accuracy and completeness
  • Ensure materials written up by team are accurate and necessary
  • Approve timesheets every week
Technical Assistance:
  • Assist with providing or finding information for the team when necessary
  • Mentor inspection and service techs.

    NFPA-compliant during inspections and after repairs are completed
  • Go to sites to assist with troubleshooting and repairs as needed
Team Leadership:
  • Manage and support field team
  • Conduct regular team meetings to review project and department status
Other:
  • Coordinate directly with OWFP Service Manager and Service Superintendent
  • Coordinate with OWFS Install team for acceptance testing and training
  • Assist with service workforce forecasting
  • Share after-hours on-call duties with Install Superintendent
Qualifications:

Experience:
  • At least 5 years in the fire protection industry
System Knowledge:
  • Familiarity with the systems that we commonly install and service.
    • Potter, Notifier, Kidde, Sevo, Ansul
    • Fire Alarm, clean agent suppression, extinguisher general knowledge
Certifications:
  • NICET II or CSA preferred but not required
  • OSHA 10 preferred but not required
