Pipefitter

Pay: $35-$45/hr, with $1,050/week in per diem.

Location:

Traveling to Abernathy, Texas for 5 months. Orientation and home base after the project is in Tempe, AZ.

Job Description

We are seeking skilled Pipe fitters and Installers for a retrofit project in a data center located out of state. The ideal candidates will possess expertise in handling copper pipe Pro Press systems and be knowledgeable about Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems.

Responsibilities

• Install and retrofit piping systems in a data center environment.
• Utilize copper pipe Pro Press expertise to ensure quality installations.
• Work with copper and steel chilled water and condenser water piping.
• Understand and calculate fitting takeouts for screw and weld fittings.
• Read and interpret blueprints to guide installation processes.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and protocols.
• Engage in physical tasks such as climbing ladders, lifting, pulling, and working outdoors in various weather conditions.

Essential Skills

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in pipe fitting.
• Proficiency in copper pipe Pro Press and VRF systems.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints.
• Familiarity with reaming, deburring, brazing, and soldering.
• Experience with 3-inch diameter or smaller mechanical drawings.
• Capability to lift 50 pounds or more and operate lifts up to 15 feet in the air.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in commercial plumbing is accepted.
• No license is required, but experience with brazing and soldering is advantageous.

Why Work Here?

This is a 5-month project that offers significant overtime opportunities. Employees receive $150 per diem for 7 days a week, and all travel expenses, including drive time and flights, are covered. The work schedule includes 8 weeks of work followed by a week off to visit family (unpaid).

Work Environment

The role is based in a data center environment. The schedule is demanding, with 60-72 hours of work per week, from Monday to Sunday. Candidates must be ready to start by 8/24, with onboarding completed by 8/17, which includes drug testing and booking of travel arrangements.

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
