Western Hydro Engineering is seeking an experienced Well Driller to join our growing team. We are looking for a skilled, dependable driller with hands-on experience in Air Rotary, Mud Rotary, and Dual Rotary who takes pride in safe, efficient, quality drilling.

The Well Driller will report directly to the Drilling Supervisor and work closely with the drilling crew, mechanics, and project management to successfully complete projects.

Responsibilities
  • Operate drilling rigs using Air Rotary, Mud Rotary, and/or Dual Rotary methods
  • Safely and efficiently drill water wells in a variety of geological conditions
  • Operate and monitor drilling systems, pumps, compressors, mud systems, and auxiliary equipment
  • Make sound drilling decisions based on formation changes, penetration rates, circulation, and borehole conditions
  • Maintain accurate drilling logs and communicate drilling conditions to the Drilling Supervisor
  • Lead day-to-day drilling activities while working as part of a team
  • Communicate effectively with the Drilling Supervisor and crew
  • Perform routine rig inspections and preventative maintenance
  • Troubleshoot drilling equipment and assist with field repairs
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe worksite
  • Follow company safety policies and applicable Arizona well drilling regulations
Qualifications
  • Experienced water well driller required
  • Proven experience with Air Rotary, Mud Rotary, and/or Dual Rotary
  • Strong understanding of drilling fluids, air systems, casing installation, and well construction
  • Ability to recognize changing formations and adjust drilling techniques accordingly
  • Arizona water well drilling experience strongly preferred
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment and drilling support equipment
  • Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred
  • Ability to travel and work extended hours when project schedules require
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
  • Must be dependable, safety-minded, and willing to work as a team player
  • Experience on MSHA Property
