Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, HVAC Tech / Heating Engineer
Millipore Sigma is seeking a Facilities Engineering Technician to support reliable, safe operation of our life science and biopharmaceutical facilities. In this role, you will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC, utilities, mechanical, and electrical systems that support critical laboratory and production environments. You will troubleshoot equipment issues, support installation and qualification of new systems, and maintain accurate maintenance and compliance documentation.
Working closely with engineering, EHS, production, and quality teams, you will help ensure uninterrupted, GMP-compliant operations in a highly collaborative, safety-focused setting while contributing to innovations that advance global health.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on facility and production equipment (HVAC, utilities, mechanical and electrical systems)
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair equipment issues to minimize downtime in a GMP/regulated environment
- Support installation, commissioning, and qualification of new equipment and facility systems
- Monitor and document facility conditions, maintenance activities, and compliance records in CMMS and logbooks
- Collaborate with engineering, EHS, production, and quality teams to support safe, reliable operations

- Identify and implement improvements to equipment reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance processes
- Respond to facility alarms and emergencies and provide on-call support as needed
