Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable, detail-oriented, and team-focused individual to join our organization as a Metering Technician - Large Meters. This position is primarily responsible for the testing and maintenance of large water meters, ensuring accuracy and compliance across the system. Occasional repairs and replacements may also be required. As part of a collaborative field team, your work plays a vital role in the performance and integrity of water metering infrastructures.
This role includes paid on-call rotation, compensated travel, and occasional weekend. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, mechanically inclined, and eager to learn in a hands-on environment.

Schedule:
Monday-Friday, 5:30 AM - 1:30 PM
- Test and calibrate large water meters (3-16) to ensure accurate measurement and regulatory compliance.
- Perform on-site inspections to verify meter performance and system integrity.
- Complete minor to moderate repairs and full meter replacements when necessary.
- Accurately document all testing, calibration, maintenance, and repair activities.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot metering issues and ensure consistent service delivery.
- Support upgrades, conversions, and new metering system installations as needed.
- Follow all safety procedures, including those related to confined space entry (training provided).
- Participate in a paid on-call rotation, including some weekends and holidays.
- Travel all over the greater metro valley.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- No previous experience required - on-the-job training is provided.
- Willingness to participate in on-call shifts, weekend work, and travel (extra pay).
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Must demonstrate mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety.
- Ability to work well within a team and follow technical instructions.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces (company-provided training and certification required).
