School Occupational Therapist - Tempe, Arizona

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in an engaging educational environment near Tempe, AZ! This position is structured at 30 hours per week for the upcoming  school year, providing an excellent balance between professional growth and personal wellness.

Youll join a collaborative team using a workload model that ensures a manageable balance. Expect to focus 15 to 20 hours per week on direct OT treatment, while the remainder is dedicated to indirect support and consultation. Caseloads generally range from 40 to 60 students, including both direct and consult-only cases, with students typically seen 60 minutes each month. Additionally, youll provide valuable supervision for 12 COTAs and serve a diverse population from preschool through 8th grade.

Qualifications:

• Current OT license in Arizona
• Valid IVP fingerprint card
• Prior school-based or pediatric experience preferred
• Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
• Capacity to supervise and mentor COTAs

Responsibilities:

• Deliver targeted occupational therapy services to a varied student population
• Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement IEP goals
• Supervise and support 12 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state standards
• Consult with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student success
• Actively participate in team meetings and contribute expertise to support student achievement
