We’re looking for a deeply experienced front-end engineer who brings strong judgment, product thinking, and a high bar for technical quality. This role is about making sound engineering decisions, partnering effectively across disciplines, and building customer experiences that are fast, clear, resilient, and measurable.

You will help shape and scale key consumer-facing journeys across Money Lion’s product surfaces, working closely with product, design, analytics, and backend engineers to improve engagement, conversion, and long-term customer value.

  You’ll help maintain a high bar for quality through code reviews, testing, and production readiness.
• Collaborate cross-functionally:
  Partner with product, design, and backend engineers to shape solutions and deliver reliably.
• Architect for change:
  Design and build scalable front-end systems that adapt to evolving product needs.
• Improve Performance & Quality:
  Strengthen performance, accessibility, maintainability, and consistency across the codebase.
• Support experimentation:
  Build A/B tests, event tracking, and measurement capabilities that support rapid learning.
• Lead AI-assisted development:
  Use AI tools for prototyping, scaffolding, refactoring, and exploratory development, then validate the output with strong engineering judgment.
• Raise quality through testing:
  Build and maintain automated test coverage across unit, component, integration, and end-to-end layers.

• Strong expertise in Type Script, React, Next.js, and modern front-end architecture.
• Comfortable working with APIs and building reliable customer-facing applications.
• Proven success building scalable, component-driven user interfaces.
• Strong grasp of performance, accessibility, responsive design, and maintainable front-end systems.
• Skilled at partnering with Product, Design, and backend engineers to deliver in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with testing, CI/CD, monitoring, and modern development workflows.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience.

Experience: 5+ years in software engineering, with a track record of building and shipping production applications.
