Test Consultant

• Participate in all steps of the software development life cycle and help deliver quality code. Collaborate with peers to identify and recommend quality assurance practices, including automation, to improve code quality and testability.
• Design, develop and maintain automation frameworks and test suites; integrate automated testing with continuous integration, deployment and delivery pipelines; conduct performance, load, security and service virtualization testing.
• Write and execute tests at the code level (white-box testing) to identify defects early; maintain, review and expand mid-level unit and component test suites; integrate white-box tests with CI tools.
• Identify testing needs for test-driven development (TDD) and behavior-driven development (BDD) to enable early and frequent testing during development; propose improvements to testing processes and quality metrics across the lifecycle.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop comprehensive test plans, data conditioning and test cases; communicate results and provide feedback to internal and external clients as needed.
• Act as a primary contact for assigned client projects related to test engineering activities and coordinate test execution and review of plans and scripts.

• Bachelor’s Degree in Software Engineering, Information Systems or other technical field; or equivalent experience.
• Typically 6+ years of relevant experience in software testing, coding, design and development.

• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience with automated testing strategies across diverse environments and frameworks.
