TITLE: Crossing Guard

JOB DESCRIPTION: Provide assistance to children crossing the street. Maintain children’s safety in traffic.

• Education equivalent to a High School Diploma or GED preferred
• State of Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card
• No previous experience required

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Essential functions, as defined under the Americans with Disabilities Act, may include any of the following tasks, knowledge, skills, and other characteristics. • Assist children crossing streets.
• Move 15‑mph zone and school crossing signs into and out of the street.
• Utilize proper hand signs as required.
• Adhere to regulations and guidelines governing school crossings.
• Ensure safety of pedestrians using assigned cross walks.
• Report problems with students or traffic.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge of traffic regulations pertaining to school and pedestrian crossings
