Job Description:
Vitalant is seeking a Hospital Delivery Technician dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Hospital Delivery Technician is vital. You will support Vitalant's life saving mission by fostering relationships with hospital and vendor staff while transporting blood and blood product orders from Vitalant sites and blood drives to hospitals customers within critical time frames, providing quality service.

What to Expect Salary: $18.27 - $19.06/Hour + 9-17% Evening and Weekend Shift Premium, as applicable.

Evening Shifts Available:
Tuesday - Saturday 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM (1 opening)
Monday - Friday 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM (1 opening)
Sunday - Thursday 1:00 PM - 9:30 PM (1 opening)

As a Hospital Delivery Technician, you'll get to Professionally and safely deliver blood product orders to Vitalant hospital customers, using a company vehicle.
Ensure required delivery and pick-up times are met to align with logistics and customer expectations.
Prepare shipping and packaging materials and supplies needed to maintain operations.
Maintain accurate records of transactions and vehicle logs.
High School diploma or GED required
Valid in-state driver's license
Six months of customer service experience required
Professional driving experience preferred
Able to lift 40lbs#DISTRBREQUIREMENTS:
KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION High school graduate or equivalency required.
Ability to read and write English required.
LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS Valid in-state driver's license required.
EXPERIENCE Minimum 6-months of customer service experience required.
Driving experience in a business environment preferred.
Prior inside delivery experience preferred.
Healthcare industry experience preferred.
SKILLS/ABILITIES Good communication and customer relations skills in order to deal effectively with customers and staff. Demonstrated excellent verbal skills.
Detail oriented to ensure accuracy on paperwork and ensuring all required processes are followed. Must be comfortable with mobile device/technology.
Positive team-oriented attitude.
Ability to work independently with ability to make sound judgements. Willingness and judgement to escalate problems and issues to management as needed.
Able to work on-call, various shifts including evenings, weekends, holidays and overtime.
Must be able to work in various weather conditions.
Able to meet all physical requirements with or without accommodation.
Must possess a good driving record.
Travel within the blood center service area required.
Candidates with prior experience in delivery driving, courier services, or transportation roles will find their skills highly transferable to this position. Backgrounds such as delivery driver, CDL or non-CDL driver, medical transport, medical courier, or delivery technician provide a strong foundation in time-sensitive logistics, route coordination, and safe vehicle operation. Experience interacting directly with customers or healthcare facilities is especially valuable, as it supports the relationship-building and service expectations of the role.
Overall, individuals with a proven track record of reliability, attention to detail, and professionalism in delivery environments will be well-positioned to succeed as a Hospital Delivery Technician.
