CDL Driver

Position Purpose

The CDL Driver at SRS ensures safety, timely delivery of building materials to job sites, verifies inventory, follows safety protocols, and maintains high service standards. This role supports operational efficiency and fosters strong customer relationships through professionalism, teamwork, and responsiveness.

• Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, verify inventory accuracy, and ensure secure, damage‑free deliveries.
• Assess job‑site conditions to prevent hazards.
• Collaborate with customers for material placement.
• Document deliveries with photos per company policy.
• Physically handle materials up to 100 lbs and manage long hours driving.
• Load/unload goods with forklifts or manually, work in varied weather and noisy environments, and read job‑related documents in English.

CDL Drivers manage long hours, fast‑paced schedules, and varying weather conditions while traveling within a 200‑mile radius—no overnight stays. The role involves safe, timely deliveries, on‑site coordination, and occasional yard support.

• Valid CDL Class A or B with air brakes endorsement and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating forklifts safely and working in varied conditions.
• Effective communication in English.
• Minimum 18years old (21years for interstate/hazmat).
• Successful background check, drug screen, E‑Verify, and FMCSA Clearinghouse verification.
• 1–2years of relevant commercial driving experience.

• Hazmat endorsement.
• Strong vehicle maintenance skills.
• Experience with multi‑drop deliveries.
• Familiarity with fleet management systems.
• Commitment to continuous improvement.
• Multilingual abilities a plus.

• Commercial Driver’s License (CDL A or
  
  B) with Air Brakes Endorsement.
• Current DOT Medical Certificate.
• Forklift Certification—Preferred.
• FMCSA Registration – Required.
• Demonstrated safety compliance through inspections and adherence to DOT/OSHA regulations.
