Logistics Service Representative / Medical Driver (Part Time, Weekend coverage)

Location:

Tempe, AZ

Pay: $17.00 per hour (shift differential $1.00 per hour for shifts 10:00 PM Friday to 5:00 AM Monday).

Hours:

Friday & Saturday 9:00 PM – 5:00 AM;
Sunday & Monday 10:00 PM – 4:30 AM.

• Spend most of your day safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, interoffice mail, and related materials in a company‑owned vehicle.
• Operate a hand‑held scanning device to track items accurately through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat, and orderly vehicle.
• Perform duties across all routes assigned, with assignments potentially changing from time to time.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• 19 years of age with an active driver's license for at least 3 years.
• Dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with technology and ability to adapt to new tools.
• Ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Pass initial and random drug & alcohol screening.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle on various roads and in varying weather conditions throughout the shift.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination, if required by location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items up to 50 pounds, and to lift items off storage racks.
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for extended periods of time.
