Warehouse Worker - ASU - Tempe - ASU-Board Operations

Job Description

The Warehouse Worker is responsible for receiving and processing incoming products, preparing orders for transport, and performing inventory and quality control duties. The role ensures the warehouse is clean, organized, and maintained according to facility protocols and safety standards.

• Receive and inspect products, accurately label items, and report discrepancies between deliveries and invoices.
• Organize and store incoming products in assigned locations, applying FIFO inventory controls for perishable items.
• Operate manual pallet jack, electric pallet jack, and/or forklifts as required.
• Pick inventory to assemble orders and supply requisitions or established par levels.
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to meet accuracy and production standards.
• Load, unload, and transport products and materials to various warehouse areas or client locations using carts, powered industrial vehicles, or motor vehicles.
• Conduct routine physical inventory counts based on established location schedules.
• Complete administrative duties, including inventory count documents, temperature and spoilage logs, equipment inspections, and other relevant business records (on paper or a technology‑based system).
• Clean work areas as assigned, including restrooms, break areas, loading docks, freight elevators, and freight platform delivery areas.
• Implement all location safety policies, OSHA requirements, SDS standards, and emergency procedures.
• Use required safety equipment and personal protective equipment.
• Ensure the security of client and company assets.
• Interact with clients, employees, vendors, customers, and guests regarding business‑related activities and attend meetings as required.

• Must be over 18 years of age.
• High school education or equivalent preferred.
• Two years of previous warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Basic reading, writing, arithmetic, and computer skills.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery.
• Able to lift up to 50lb; frequent lifting and/or carrying objects weighing up to 35lb.
• Some client locations require a valid driver’s license; an MVR will be run as part of pre‑employment screening if needed.
• Physical demands may include lifting, bending, pushing, pulling, extended walking, and standing.
• Uniform and/or personal protective equipment (PPE) may be required.
