Butler National designs and manufactures commercial and defense electronics for OEMs, contractors, and government agencies. The team produces both custom assemblies and commercial off-the-shelf solutions.
The Stockroom Clerk supports warehouse operations by receiving, organizing, issuing, and tracking inventory. This role ensures materials are stored correctly, inventory counts remain accurate, and production/shipping teams receive the parts and supplies they need on time. The Stockroom Clerk maintains a clean, safe stockroom and follows all company procedures for documentation, labeling, and material handling.
Key Responsibilities- Inventory Control — Perform cycle counts, bin audits, and reconcile discrepancies in the inventory system.
- Receiving & Visual Inspection — Verify incoming shipments against packing slips and purchase orders; visually inspect for damage; label and store materials.
- Stockroom Organization — Maintain orderly shelves, bins, and pallet locations; ensure materials are labeled and accessible.
- Material Issuing — Pull parts and supplies for production, service, or customer orders; document withdrawals accurately.
- Data Entry — Update inventory software with receipts, adjustments, transfers, and cycle count results.
- Shipping Support — Assist with packaging, labeling, and preparing outbound materials when needed.
- Communication — Coordinate with purchasing, production, and shipping to resolve shortages, incorrect shipments, or missing materials.
- Safety & Compliance — Follow PPE requirements, equipment rules, and warehouse safety procedures.
- 1–3 years experience in a warehouse, stockroom, or inventory role
- Ability to read packing slips, POs, part numbers, and labels
- Basic computer skills; experience with inventory software preferred
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate material‑handling equipment
- Reliable attendance and ability to work independently
- Standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift
- Handling boxes, bins, pallets, and materials
- Working in warehouse conditions (heat, cold, noise)
- Maintain accurate inventory counts and documentation
- Keep stockroom organized and compliant with safety standards
- Process receipts and issues promptly
- Communication shortages or discrepancies immediately
- Support production and shipping with timely material pulls
