Position Location Position Summary Information General SummaryThe Administrative Assistant I will perform administrative and general clerical work which follows well established procedures.
Essential Functions- Types and edits correspondence, memoranda, reports and other documents
- Greets office visitors and answers telephone
- Receives and opens incoming mail
- Prepares and processes routine acknowledgments and human resources actions
- Maintains routine alphabetical and/or chronological files and/or records
- Maintains time and leave records
- Procures office supplies
- Compiles information and types routine reports
- Performs other related duties as required
- Work is performed in normal office environment
- Good knowledge of business English, correct spelling and arithmetic
- Good knowledge of modern office practices, procedures and equipment
- Good knowledge of modern business software applications
- Ability to make simple arithmetical computations and tabulations with speed and accuracy
- Ability to adhere to prescribed routines
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
- Ability to write simple correspondence
- Skill in operation of personal computer and other standard office equipment
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 1 year administrative assistant experience
- Basic level of proficiency with MS Office applications;
