Job OverviewRM Rodriguez Construction is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Estimator/Project Manager to join our Project Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through final closeout. You’ll oversee estimating, scheduling, contract management, and field coordination, ensuring successful project delivery that meets client expectations. Key Responsibilities- Lead commercial construction projects from pre‑construction through final completion.
- Perform quantity take‑offs and develop detailed bid estimates.
- Coordinate with owners, architects, and subcontractors during the pre‑construction phase.
- Manage project budgets and vendor negotiations.
- Oversee full project buyout and subcontractor/supplier contracting.
- Develop and maintain construction schedules and ensure timely project delivery.
- Conduct and lead progress meetings with clients and teams.
- Review and manage submittals, RFIs, and project documentation.
- Handle change order estimating and processing.
- Monitor project costs and prepare owner pay applications.
- Maintain record drawings and oversee complete project closeout.
- Ensure quality control and compliance throughout all project phases.
- 3+ years of experience estimating and managing commercial construction projects as a general contractor, with the ability to estimate across all trades.
- Associate’s degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred.
- AIA Contract Document Software experience along with some estimating software experience preferred.
- Proven ability to manage multiple project phases independently.
- Strong communication and leadership skills for effective collaboration with owners, designers, and subcontractors.
- Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficient in quantity take‑offs and project scheduling.
- Familiarity with construction contracts and cost monitoring.
- Comfortable working in both office and jobsite settings.

Full‑Time - Monday to Friday. Some flexibility required to meet critical project deadlines.
LocationBased in the company office and active project jobsites (Texas region). Must be comfortable working in both field and office environments.
