Overview
Our client is a well-established distributor serving commercial and industrial customers. They are looking for a customer-focused Solutions Specialist to join their team. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service by managing customer orders, supporting sales activity, and ensuring customers receive accurate, timely information.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in B2B customer service, inside sales, order management, or distribution who enjoys building long-term customer relationships and working in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities- Respond promptly to customer enquiries via phone, email, and online channels.
- Process customer orders accurately within the company's ERP system.
- Monitor open orders and proactively communicate updates to customers.
- Manage outstanding quotations and follow up to maximise conversion opportunities.
- Coordinate supplier pricing and availability requests for special-order or non-stock items.
- Resolve customer enquiries relating to orders, deliveries, returns, and invoicing.
- Liaise with internal sales, warehouse, purchasing, and management teams to ensure seamless order fulfilment.
- Provide customers with accurate pricing, product availability, and lead time information.
- Identify opportunities to upsell and cross-sell products based on customer purchasing patterns.
- Process returns, credits, and customer complaints in accordance with company procedures.
- Escalate complex issues where necessary while maintaining ownership of the customer experience.
- Assist customers with online account setup and digital ordering platforms.
- Maintain accurate customer records within the company's CRM system.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in a B2B customer service, inside sales, or order processing role.
- Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook and Excel.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience using ERP and CRM systems.
- Previous experience within industrial distribution, electrical supply, MRO, HVAC, construction supply, or a similar distribution environment.
