Customer Service Rep, Bilingual
Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is currently seeking an Assistant Community Manager for a 200-unit multifamily community located in Temple, Texas.
As an Assistant Community Manager, you will perform all activities related to apartment rentals, resident move‑ins, and lease renewals, including completing all required administrative paperwork. You will help maintain community operations and resident retention, provide excellent customer service by responding to resident inquiries and concerns, and report directly to the Community Manager (and when directed, the Regional Property Manager). This position has no subordinates.
EssentialJob Functions
- Assist the community manager in maintaining occupancy levels at the affordable living community.
- Help the Community Managers rent apartments to meet or beat occupancy goals, including conducting tours, maintaining the wait list, gathering required verifications, and processing new applications.
- Be familiar with HUD and LIHTC regulations.
- Obtain appropriate signatures and documentation related to move‑in.
- Prepare move‑in packets and complete move‑in paperwork, including leases and addendums, in accordance with onsite procedures.
- Assist with incoming/outgoing calls as needed.
- Perform tours, conduct interviews, and respond to mailings and phone calls.
- Review resident notices to vacate and advise residents of their responsibilities.
- Receive rent payments from residents, complete receipts, post payments to accounts, and update resident records.
- Comply with company policies and procedures and promote Fair Housing Laws and other applicable federal, state, and local laws, maintaining documentation of compliance.
- Adhere to all company and site policies and safety procedures.
- Update residents’ records as necessary.
- Help maintain the physical appearance of the community by picking up grounds, performing minor apartment cleaning and touch‑ups, and ensuring common areas are clean and neat.
- Participate in all mandatory training programs.
Responsible for reporting to work on time as scheduled and complying with the dress code.
Minimum Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required- Excellent communication skills and the ability to maintain good relationships with office employees, residents, and site employees.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact effectively with persons from diverse social, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in customer service and sales.
- Good verbal communication skills.
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Prior experience in a customer service or sales position.
- Bilingual preferred.
