Neurosurgery Opportunity At Baylor Scott & White Medical Center - Temple

Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Institute in Temple, Texas. The ideal candidate will have broad expertise in general neurosurgery, with subspecialty training and/or expertise in one or more of the following areas: cerebrovascular/endovascular neurosurgery, skull base tumors, or spine (including spinal tumors, degenerative spine, and spine trauma).

  • Serve as a mentor for residents, fellows, and medical students in Department of Neurosurgery and Neuroscience Institute.
  • The department has active clinical and translational research programs as well as numerous on-going clinical trials.

Department of Neurosurgery at Baylor Scott & White Health (Central) has a fully accredited seven-year neurosurgery residency program and is the only academic Neurosurgery Department in Central Texas with twelve full-time faculty members in a major teaching hospital, a level-I Trauma Center and Joint Commission Certified Comprehensive Stroke Center. The candidate will be eligible for faculty appointment with our affiliated medical school with academic rank commensurate with training and experience.

Compensation based on experience.

Qualifications:

  • Doctorate Degree in Medicine
  • Licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas by the Texas Medical Board
  • Where applicable, employee shall be currently board certified in his or her specialty or demonstrate board of the American Board of Medical Specialties or the Bureau of Osteopathic Specialists
