SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Executive Director, Dual Credit & High School Partnerships, the incumbent will oversee the ongoing direction, development, delivery, assessment, and improvement of recruitment, enrollment, and retention programs within the Dual Credit Department for Temple College. The incumbent must be proficient in archival, retrieving, reporting, and disseminating student and College information. The incumbent must be familiar with laws and regulations regarding dual credit student information, including FERPA.
This position is responsible for varied duties relating to career counseling, application processing, academic advising, financial aid application processing, student contact, student registration, and/or data coordination.
A Bachelor’s Degree and two (2) years of directly related work experience or an Associate’s Degree with four (4) years of directly related work experience.
PREFERREDKnowledge of Colleague software and student planning.
CERTIFICATION OR LICENSESValid Texas Driver License or ability to obtain one.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Provide new student orientation for prospective students to help them achieve their educational goals and/or enter the workforce in a one‑on‑one or group setting.
- Develop systems to identify and manage student learning needs effectively and efficiently.
- Monitor student progress and collaborate with the Dual Credit Student Success Navigator to develop ways to fully engage students in learning.
- Manage and monitor the daily operations of high school programs; develop and implement policies and procedures to increase student success.
- Assist the Dual Credit Enrollment and Orientation Navigator with registration during peak times. Ensure that the assigned caseload of students' paperwork is received and processed and the students are registered.
- Develop work plans, goals, and objectives focused on providing efficient service and problem resolution to high school partners.
- Assist with meetings with representatives from high school partners.
- Work with the Executive Director, Dual Credit & High School Partnerships, to liaise with TC departments and chairs to appropriately schedule college course sections and coordinate high school facility logistics related to dual credit sections and classrooms.
- Assist with coordinating college faculty orientation, professional development, and support services for those teaching dual credit students.
- Manage data collection, preparation, and analysis related to the dual credit program.
- Create and implement pre‑enrollment services for dual credit programs.
- Work closely with high school partners to expand opportunities for dual credit in academic and workforce areas based on best practices in the field.
- Answer inquiries and provide dual credit information on Temple College to students, faculty, parents, and the general public.
- Meet, interact, and communicate information regarding early admission and general admissions requirements with area parents, ISD superintendents, and high school principals and counselors emphasizing recruitment and retention.
- Work with Temple College departments to assist in promoting a college‑going culture in the community through the Apply Texas Application and FAFSA workshops and information sessions.
- Provide general information to staff and the public regarding college matters and community relations.
- Manage an assigned caseload of prospective and current students.
- Provide information and services that support integrating high school students into Temple College.
- Travel regularly to high schools throughout designated service areas to host recruitment events and seek opportunities for college faculty & staff to travel and visit with students as needed.
- Promote partnerships with service area districts.
- Attend Dual Credit staff meetings & serve on the Texas Bioscience Institute selection committees.
- Serve as Texas Bioscience Institute liaison for high school counselors by collaborating with the Dual Credit staff and Executive Director, Dual Credit & High School Partnerships, for the annual counselor meeting on the main campus.
