AboutThe Role
As a CBRE Data Center Technical Team Lead, you will lead a team in performance of preventative maintenance and corrective repairs within a large Data Center environment. This job is part of the Critical and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for technical maintenance services in critical client environments.
What You’ll Do- Provide leadership to Data Center Technicians monitoring, scheduling and assisting in the performance of daily activities.
- Perform site inspections of all IT, mechanical, electrical, engineering, monitoring and support systems, including servicing and maintenance.
- Ensure the site’s environmental conditions provide a safe work environment.
- Work with third‑party vendors, ensuring compliance with company‑developed processes, procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Alert management if subcontractor performance doesn’t meet all requirements per the Master Service Agreement.
- Complete planned preventative maintenance within a Data Center.
- Perform rounds and readings within a Data Center.
- Operate customer’s Work Management System (Hexagon EAM).
- Complete assigned work according to established processes and procedures.
- Follow all safety processes and requirements and ensure all regulatory requirements and quality standards are met.
- Complete all required training to ensure successful completion of all job‑related responsibilities.
- Obtain and participate in required trainings, assessments, and certifications.
- Follow defined procedures and processes with minimal supervision and guidance.
- Training in a Technical discipline having served an apprenticeship or equivalent with 1-2 years of job‑related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered. Ability to be on an on‑call rotation which may require off shift, weekend, and/or holiday work hours.
- Must be able to meet the physical requirements of this role.
- To effectively present information to an internal department, client, management and/or colleagues.
- Ability to follow basic work routines and standards in the application of work.
- Communication skills to exchange straightforward information.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite products.
Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset
- Basic math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.
