Full-Time 24 ON/48 OFF rotation.

City Ambulance Service is expanding our operation with multiple station locations in Houston, Dallas, San Antonio, Austin, College Station, Odessa, Midland, Temple, Killeen, San Angelo, Lubbock, Round Rock, Beaumont, Port Arthur, Lufkin, Nacogdoches, Livingston, Corpus Christi, and surrounding areas. We are looking to expand our team of EMT-Basics in Austin, Texas and surroundings. We seek experienced, dedicated, and motivated EMTs to join our team and provide the advanced level of patient care our patients and partners expect from City Ambulance Service.

Expected yearly pay is available during a 24/48 rotating schedule, with potential to earn more by taking extra shifts.

• Respond to calls for emergency and non-emergency transports.
• Assess a patient’s condition and determine a course of treatment per local protocol.
• Provide first-aid treatment and/or advanced level life support to patients.
• Explain procedures to patients, give orders, and relay information to others.
• Transport patients safely in an ambulance.
• Transfer patients to the hospital or other healthcare facilities.
• Report observations and treatment to physicians or other healthcare facility staff.
• Document medical care given to patients promptly and effectively.
• Inventory, replace, and clean supplies and equipment after use.
• Maintain and clean crew quarters, ambulance, and station locations daily.

• Ability to sit, bend and stand for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs from ground to waist level.
• Ability to coordinate activities closely with others in stressful situations.
• Ability to effectively communicate Verbal/Written English.
• Ability to take direction and adapt to changing situations and job duties.
• Experience with MICU level transports including IV Pump / Ventilator / Cardiac Monitoring.
• Valid State of Texas (or other compact state) EMT-Basic license REQUIRED.
• 2 years experience in Emergency Medical Services preferred.
• Must be comfortable working BLS calls.

• Expected yearly pay on a 24/48 rotating schedule: $50,280/year - $60,336/year (depending on experience).
• Additional earnings potential: $68,640 - $82,368 by picking up extra shifts (72 hours per week).
• No cap on overtime; 24-hour shifts available.
