Summary
The Clinical Care Coordinator/Supervisor Chiropractor has responsibility for the overall supervision and program management for the clinical care program and the complementary and integrative health program in Whole Health & Integrative Health Services (WH&HIS) in all patient care areas of CTVHCS serving inpatient and outpatient populations.

- The Clinical Care Coordinator/Supervisor Chiropractor is responsible for all program operations, including coordination of implementation of the Clinical Care domain of the Whole Health System of Care within the Central Texas Veterans Health Care System.
- Responsibilities include providing patient care that is compassionate, appropriate, and effective for the promotion of health and well‑being, prevention of illness, treatment of disease, and end‑of‑life care.
- Perform patient history and physical examinations and facilitate proper coordination between Whole Health Program services and the overall delivery of healthcare.
- Establish diagnoses and treatment plans, and order imaging, laboratory, or other diagnostic studies as appropriate.
- Manage episodes of care based on evidence‑informed and best‑practice standards.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert for chiropractic care relative to the implementation of a Whole Health system of care as outlined by the Office of Patient Centered Care and Cultural Transformation (OPCC & CT).
- Support Complementary & Integrative Health (CIH) initiatives in collaboration with VISN and local leadership.
- Provide patient education and recommendations regarding hygiene, nutrition, exercise, sanitary measures, lifestyle changes, stress reduction, and ergonomic modifications.
- Perform standard manual procedures consistent with chiropractic care as commonly contained in the core curriculum of Council on Chiropractic Education‑accredited chiropractic colleges.
- Provide other Complementary and Integrative Health services when applicable, based on individual training, licensure, and facility needs.
- Make clinically indicated referrals to other clinicians, including medical, surgical, behavioral health specialties, and other providers such as physical therapists and occupational therapists.
- Participate in special projects pertinent to chiropractic care as necessary and as projects become available within strategic plans or other initiatives.
- Document clinical care in accordance with policy and best‑practice standards, and complete administrative work in a timely fashion.
- Enter documentation directly into the medical record and refrain from using unapproved or informal medical abbreviations.
