We are seeking an experienced Cardiac Sonographer to join a busy Non-Invasive Cardiology department. This 13-week travel assignment offers a Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM schedule with 40 guaranteed hours per week
. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of echocardiography experience
, Level I Trauma experience
, and be confident working independently while performing high-quality cardiac ultrasound procedures.
- Perform comprehensive transthoracic (TTE), transesophageal (TEE), and stress echocardiography examinations for adult patients.
- Obtain high-quality diagnostic cardiac images and measurements using appropriate sonographic techniques and protocols.
- Evaluate cardiac anatomy and function, identify abnormalities, and expand imaging studies when clinically indicated.
- Prepare patients for procedures by reviewing medical history, explaining examinations, and ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Assist cardiologists during transesophageal echocardiography and other advanced cardiac procedures.
- Correlate clinical findings with diagnostic imaging to support accurate patient diagnosis and treatment planning.
- Maintain echocardiography equipment, perform quality assurance activities, and document studies accurately.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and multidisciplinary healthcare teams to deliver exceptional patient care.
- Adhere to infection prevention, patient confidentiality, and departmental quality standards.
- Minimum 3 years of Cardiac Sonographer/Echocardiography experience required.
- Level I Trauma Center experience required.
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Current BLS Certification (AHA only) required.
- Current Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) or Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) certification required.
- Strong experience performing Transthoracic (TTE), Transesophageal (TEE), and Stress Echocardiography
. - Thorough knowledge of cardiac anatomy, physiology, sonographic imaging techniques, and echocardiography protocols.
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
- Proficiency with medical equipment, clinical documentation, and maintaining quality assurance standards.
- 13-week contract position (possible extensions)
- Shift is Day Shift | 5x8s | Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (40 guaranteed hours/week)
- Location is Temple, TX 76508
- Locals are not accepted
- Pay Rate for Travelers: $2,500 - $2,526 Weekly
