ATS is looking for a proactive, people-oriented On-site Health and Wellness Specialist to join our growing team! In this role, youll be at the heart of our workplace wellness programs, building strong relationships with employees and management, promoting a culture of safety and well-being, and taking the lead on initiatives that truly make a difference.
Working under the direction of the ATS Medical Director, youll play a key role in developing and executing injury prevention, ergonomic assessments, and on-site wellness strategies.
About the Role:
We are seeking a PRN On-Site Health & Wellness Specialist to join our team in the Greater Maryland Area. This is a flexible, as-needed position designed to provide coverage for team members PTO, weekends, and other scheduling needs. This role is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in dynamic environments, and values being part of a supportive team.
You will receive paid training and be provided with your OSHA 10 certification through our comprehensive onboarding process.
- Conduct health screenings, including blood pressure and blood glucose testing.
- Provide first-aid and case management for musculoskeletal issues, utilizing taping, stretches, massage, and more.
- Perform orthopedic injury evaluations and ergonomic job risk assessments.
- Lead wellness initiatives like stretch-and-flex sessions, lunch-and-learns, and monthly health campaigns.
- Develop corrective action plans and ergonomic interventions with creative, data-driven solutions.
- Serve as a trusted health advocate and source of mental health first aid for employees.
- Attend client safety meetings and present wellness data and recommendations.
- Maintain inventory of clinic supplies and ensure all administrative tasks are up to date.
- Communicate regularly with safety teams and contribute to internal newsletters.
- Represent ATS as a wellness leader through public speaking and employee coaching.
- Bachelors degree in a related field
- Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) with active state licensure
- Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification
- 2+ years of athletic training or occupational health experience preferred
- Willingness to travel to client sites as needed
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and workers compensation is a plus
- Comfortable working in industrial or construction settings in all weather conditions
