GENERAL DESCRIPTION

Performs routine (journey-level) quality assurance work. Work involves planning, developing, and administering internal quality assurance and compliance activities. Works under moderate supervision, with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Central Counties Services incorporates principles of trauma-informed care, which includes cultural sensitivity, in all areas of service delivery. All job descriptions include the responsibility to learn about and implement trauma-informed practices within the scope of work for the position.
  • Participates in the development of quality assurance processes, reports, and review tools.
  • Reviews and analyzes cases, notes deficiencies, and extracts data to be verified; collects performance data; identifies adverse trends; and determines compliance with service delivery standards, program requirements, and policies and procedures.
  • Plans and organizes case review assignments according to department schedule.
  • Verifies information received from case readings, sources and clients.
  • Participates in corrective action planning and service improvement activities.
  • Identifies and flags cases for investigation of potential error and for potential recoupment and restitution.
  • Documents review findings and communicates final determination of case review to appropriate staff.
  • Identifies trends and recommends changes.
  • Provides input on the development of quality control policies, procedures and standards.
  • Performs related work as assigned.
  • Participates in the training and development of employees. May become certified instructor for Center required training programs.
  • Demonstrates high ethical standards, trustworthiness, and personal integrity. Regular attendance, dependability, and promptness is required for the 8-5 work day or agreed upon hours 100% of the time, to ensure consistency and completeness of programs processes.
  • May require some driving within the catchment area.
GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS Experience/Education/Licensing/Certification

Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in healthcare, social work or related field. Experience and education may be substituted for one another.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Knowledge of community behavioral health, intellectual disabilities and early childhood intervention service delivery systems.
  • Knowledge of federal and state program policies and laws, financial and medical eligibility program policies, and quality control procedures.
  • Ability to apply program and quality control policies and procedures; to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations; to select, analyze and evaluate information from case records in relation to eligibility criteria; and to communicate effectively.
  • Ability to proficiently utilize computer programs, e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel.
Relationship Skills
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing.
  • Work behavior must be compatible with Center value statement and Policies and Procedures Manual contributing to an environment of problem solving, building trust, conflict resolution, and customer service.
  • Ability to independently perform tasks effectively and efficiently.
  • Ability to present a professional appearance and conduct when representing the Center.
